EKSU appoints new Bursar, directors, professors

The Governing Council of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, at its meeting held on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, approved the appointment of Mrs Janet Oreoluwa Ojobanikan as the new Bursar of the university.

Her appointment was sequel to the completion of the tenure of the former Bursar, Mr. Abimbola Titiloye – Owolabi.

Mrs Ojobanikan, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), was, until her appointment, a Deputy Bursar at the university.

She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma in 2007, Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management from Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti in 1998 and Master of Business Administration also from Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti in 2002.

Mrs Ojobanikan belongs to many professional bodies, such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), Institute of Cost & Management Accountants and the Association of University Administrators (AUA UK), either as a Fellow or Member.

She is married with children.

According to Bode Olofinmuagun, Head, Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs the governing Council also approved the appointment of Dr. Tunde Oluborode as the Director of Health Services and Architect Bello Adetunji as the Director of Physical Planning.

At the meeting, four academics were elevated as Professors, while seven (7) got promoted to the rank of Reader.
