Tight Security Measures in Place as Ogun Monarchs Await Visit from Tinubu

Abeokuta, Nigeria – The palace of the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, is currently experiencing heightened security as it eagerly awaits the arrival of former Lagos State Governor, President Bola Tinubu.

President Tinubu is scheduled to visit the Alake and other revered Obas in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, before proceeding to Ijebu-Ode to have an audience with the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona.

Media Talk Africa correspondent, present at the Ake palace in Abeokuta, has observed an impressive deployment of security personnel.

At the entrance to the palace, heavily armed operatives from the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Service (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and other security agencies were seen meticulously screening individuals before granting them access.

The surrounding roads leading to the palace have also been heavily manned by security agents. However, it is important to note that these arrangements have not adversely affected public transportation in the area.

As of the time of filing this report, our correspondent has confirmed that the Alake, along with other monarchs and chiefs, are patiently awaiting President Tinubu’s arrival.
