Suspended Head of Service, Perm Secs obey Gov Otti’s directive, hands over power

The former Head of Civil Service in Abia State, Onyii Wamah who was suspended by Governor Alex Otti has handed over files and documents to the acting Head of Service, Lady Joy Maduka.

He performed the handover in his office at Library Avenue, as monitored by Media Talk Africa.

Performing the handover, the former HoS showed his successor files and documents concerning the running of the office.

Also at the Abia State Ministry of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and New Business Development, the former Perm Sec, Mr Nkwachikwu Agomo handed over to Mr Ngozi Osuagwu who is the highest ranking official in the Ministry.

At Abia State Secretariat in Umuahia, it was a beehive of events as many of the suspended Permanent Secretaries were seen arriving at their offices to perform the handover to the highest-ranking officials in their ministries.

But there was drama at the State Secretariat as one of the suspended Perm Secs allegedly broke down in tears inside his vehicle after performing the handover at the 4-storey Secretariat, saying that he was shocked by his ‘sudden’ suspension.

One of the suspended Perm Secs also refused to grant any interviews to the media on the recent development.
