BlaqBonez Reveals Asake’s Role as Former Backup Singer

In an exclusive interview, renowned Nigerian hip-hop artiste, BlaqBonez, made a surprising revelation about the rising star, Asake, stating that Asake had previously served as his backup singer before achieving his current level of stardom.

BlaqBonez, known for his chart-topping album ‘Sex Over Love’, shared that he has been friends with his colleagues Fireboy, Asake, Superboi Cheque, Yhemolee, and Zamorra since their early days together at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ife, Osun State.

During his chat with reality star Kimoprah on Hip TV’s popular programme ‘Trending’, BlaqBonez reminisced about the days when Zamorra and Asake actively supported him in the studio, lending their voices as backup singers.

“I’ve known Fireboy, Asake, Superboi Cheque, Yhemolee, and Zamorra since our time at OAU,” BlaqBonez revealed.

“Zamorra and Asake were always exceptional at providing backups. Asake’s unique vocal abilities, which he showcases in his current work, were apparent even then. He has always had a deep understanding of this aspect of music,” BlaqBonez continued.

He went on to explain how Asake’s assistance played a crucial role in his musical journey. “I used to seek Asake’s help in figuring out certain musical nuances. They have all had a significant influence on my growth as an artist, shaping the BlaqBonez we see today,” he shared enthusiastically.
