Politicians indirectly responsible for banditry – Kaduna CAN chairman

Rev John Joseph Hayab, Kaduna State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has blamed the rise in banditry on an absence of unity within the nation.

Speaking at a one-day roundtable on faith and politics in Kaduna on Friday, the cleric accused politicians of fomenting division in society by poisoning the minds of peace-loving folks with bigotry.

“I vividly recalled that things were not like this before. There is the need to recover our Kaduna State, where everyone cares for the other irrespective of any difference,” he mentioned.

The CAN chairman enjoined the residents of the state to evangelise peace and love.

“We should stop treating one another as if we are not human beings. We should love humanity, and we should preach the message of love among our children because what binds us together is bigger than what divides us,” he mentioned.

He known as on Governor Uba Sani to redouble his efforts in direction of making certain the restoration of peace and unity within the state.
