President Tinubu returns to Abuja after ECOWAS Summit

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has returned to Abuja, Nigeria’s capital after attending the 63rd summit of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) at Guinea Bissau.

The President, who touched down Monday evening, was received at the Presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, former Kebbi Governor, Atiku Bagudu, former Jigawa Governor, Abubakar Badaru and former Kano Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje

During the summit, the Nigerian Leader was elected Chairman of ECOWAS.

In his acceptance speech, President Tinubu pledged to work towards achieving the objectives of the regional body.

He enjoined his counterparts to unite and fight the resurgence of coups in West Africa.
