Ex-Oyo Assembly spokesman, Olayanju emerges LG consensus candidate

A former Chairman of the House Committee on Information and Media at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Kazeem Olayanju has emerged the consensus candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Olorunsogo local government area.

Media Talk Africa reports that Olayanju represented the Irepo/Olorunsogo state constituency between 2019 and 2023 on the platform of PDP.

He re-contested on the platform of the party and lost his return bid during the 2023 general elections.

Olayanju has, however, now emerged the PDP consensus candidate of the PDP following plans by the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct a local government election in the state in 2024.
