NPL club owners elect new executive

Rivers United General Manager Okey Kpalukwu, has been elected as Chairman of the Nigeria Premier League Club Owners Association.

The election was held on Monday night in Abuja.

Remo Stars owner Honourable Kunle Soname and Doma United owner Alhaji Suleman Umar were elected as the vice chairman for the Northern and Southern zones, respectively.

Newly promoted Nigeria Premier League side Sporting Lagos General Manager Godwin Enakhena won the General Secretary position, while Barrister Ferdinand Ugwuarua of Rangers will serve as the body’s coordinator.

The association have forwarded the names of Chief Kpalukwu, Alhaji Umar and Dominic Iorfa to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for consideration for membership in the Nigeria Premier League (NPL).
