The Borno State Government is to provide special scholarships to indigent students studying nursing and midwifery.
The Executive Secretary of the state Scholarship Board, Bala Isa, said this in Maiduguri on Friday.
βThe Executive Governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, is providing special scholarship to Borno state indigenes interested in studying nursing and midwifery.
βThe prospective candidates must have credits in English, Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics in either WAEC, NECO or NABTEB.β
Isa said that all interested candidates were to submit their credentials to the scholarship board before August 2.
Mr Zulum had during his 2nd term inauguration speech, announced plan to build two additional school of nursing and midwifery in the state to provide more manpower to the health sector.
