Transfer: Pochettino issues warning to Chelsea players

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has demanded total commitment from his players.

Pochettino said players must be committed to the Chelsea project regardless of starting from the academy or bought.

Pochettino stated that any player not committed to the club would be allowed to leave, adding that he was ready to give players a chance as long as their attitude was right.

“[Whether] you came from outside or through the academy, it’s the same. You need to feel your desire to be here and be committed to Chelsea.

“If you are not committed to the project, we will find a solution for both sides. I think all the players we have here are committed to help the team and club to be, historically, in the same position Chelsea were,” he said.

The Blues have watched several academy products leave the club this summer.

Among such players are Mason Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ethan Ampadu.
