Transfer: You should’ve let him join Chelsea – Dwight Yorke tells Man Utd about Onana

EDITED

Manchester United hero, Dwight Yorke, has told his former club that they should have allowed Cameroonian goalkeeper, Andre Onana to join their Premier League rival, Chelsea.

Yorke believes Onana, who joined Manchester United from Inter Milan this summer transfer window, is not a better goalkeeper than David de Gea.

Recall that Onana was signed by Man United as De Gea’s replacement at Old Trafford.

“But we should have let Andre Onana go to Chelsea and Man United should’ve kept David de Gea and promoted Dean Henderson instead,” Yorke told OLBG.

“If De Gea is the problem, then we should’ve promoted Henderson.”

He added, “I’ve said before that Man United need to be careful what they wish for with losing David de Gea.

“In my opinion, Onana isn’t as good as De Gea and people need to watch him very carefully.”

Onana recently made his debut for Man United as they lost 2-0 against Real Madrid in a pre-season friendly tie.
