Manchester United may come to rue the day they chose not to sign Victor Osimhen, as stated by Tom Collomosse, columnist for the Daily Mail.

The Red Devils were among several clubs rumored to be interested in acquiring the services of the Nigerian international.

However, the Premier League giants ultimately opted to secure the signature of Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta, in a deal that could potentially cost them up to £72 million.

Following United’s lackluster performance in their 1-0 victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday, Collomosse expressed his belief that United would regret not pursuing Osimhen.

“Their attacking prowess against Gary O’Neil’s squad was feeble, and if this issue remains unresolved upon Hojlund’s return, the pressure will only intensify,” Collomosse lamented.

“Either Osimhen or Kane would have been the perfect solution. Osimhen, in particular, is a consummate number 9 with the drive and talent to propel Napoli to their third Serie A title in history. United will undoubtedly rue their decision to overlook him.”

Osimhen played a pivotal role in Napoli’s successful campaign last season, contributing an impressive 28 goals in 32 appearances in Serie A.
