Recruitment Scam Alert: Nigerian Immigration Cautions Applicants Against Fraudulent Invitation Letters

The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has issued a warning to the public, particularly applicants, regarding fraudulent invitation letters for recruitment into the service.

This cautionary statement was released on Wednesday in Abuja by Dr. Adedotun Aridegbe, the Service Public Relations Officer, Deputy Comptroller of Immigration.

Dr. Aridegbe explained that authentic invitation letters for NIS recruitment can only be downloaded from the service’s official recruitment portal.

“The acting Comptroller General of NIS, Caroline Adepoju, has been made aware of the activities of certain individuals who are deceiving the public with counterfeit invitation letters for NIS recruitment,” said Dr. Aridegbe.

“The service would like to clarify that only invitations accessed through the official recruitment portal, https://cdcfib.career, by logging in with registration and phone numbers are valid”

“Any other form of invitation received directly by applicants through different means is fraudulent,” he continued.

“Therefore, the acting Comptroller General strongly advises the public to disregard such fake invitations, as they are designed to deceive and defraud unsuspecting individuals.”

“For any information or inquiry about NIS activities, please utilize the following platforms: Twitter – @nigimmigration, Instagram -@ingimmigration, SERVICOM,” he concluded.
