Chelsea Pursues Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson Following Michael Olise Rejection

In a stunning turn of events, Chelsea Football Club has shifted its focus to securing the services of Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest after failing to secure the signature of Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise.

The London-based club had seemingly secured a deal with Olise, agreeing on personal terms and activating his £35 million release clause.

However, to the dismay of Chelsea fans, Olise opted to extend his tenure at Palace by signing a four-year contract, thereby snubbing the opportunity to move to Stamford Bridge.

As a result, The Guardian has revealed that Chelsea has swiftly set its sights on Brennan Johnson, initiating early-stage negotiations to bring the talented player to their ranks.

Despite Nottingham Forest valuing the 22-year-old Welsh forward at around £45 million, there are indications that Chelsea may propose player exchanges to facilitate the transfer.

Nevertheless, Chelsea must contend with competition from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, who are also vying for Johnson’s signature.
