Transfer: Mason Greenwood ‘will return to Man Utd’

Mason Greenwood will return to Manchester United when his loan spell at Getafe ends next year.

The LaLiga club has taken Greenwood on a temporary basis this season after United said the 21-year-old will no longer play for them.

The striker hasn’t played professional football since he was arrested in January 2022.

But Greenwood will now have the chance to restart his football career in Spain.

However, he is expected to be back at Old Trafford in June.

“Mason Greenwood will formally return to Manchester United in June 2024 as he has left the club on loan to join Getafe.

“Understand Man United pays more than 50% of salary, just a small part covered by Getafe,” transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, tweeted.
