Join hands with Tinubu to move Nigeria forward – Taraba APC to opposition parties

The Taraba State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that the judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has laid to rest all doubt, deception, and falsehood regarding the party’s victory in the last presidential election.

The leadership of the party made this known on Friday in a statement made available to journalists in Jalingo, the state capital, by Publicity Secretary Aaron Artimas. The party noted that with the successful resolution of the legal issues, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will now have a better opportunity to execute his renewed agenda for the benefit of Nigerians.

The statement took a dim view of the opposition parties’ decision to appeal the judgement at the Supreme Court, calling on them to join hands with the government instead to move the country forward.

Describing the petitions as frivolous, the Taraba APC also noted that the submissions of the petitioners were virtually shredded for their lack of substance and logic.

The party applauded President Tinubu for nominating and including Barrister Uba Maigari Ahmadu in the Federal Executive Council. The gesture, according to the party, has given Tarabans a sense of belonging.

The presidential election tribunal sitting in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, on Thursday, dismissed the petitions filed by the presidential candidates of PDP, LP, and APM seeking the cancellation of the 2023 presidential election.
