Kogi APC chieftain blasts ADC guber candidate over alleged misleading statement

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Hon. Mouktar Atimah, has blasted the candidate of Africa Democratic Congress (ADC), Elder Leke Abejide, over alleged misleading statements ahead of the November 11 governorship election in the State.

Atimah, in a statement sent to Media Talk Africa on Tuesday, said the ADC governorship candidate has been dishing out misleading information about Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the APC candidate, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo.

While refuting the statement allegedly credited to Abejide during one of his campaign tours that Governor Bello wants his kinsman to succeed him in office, he noted that the ADC candidate is being economical with the truth and should stop propagating falsehood to gain unmerited favour from the general public.

Continuing, he said Bello is from Agassa/Ahache ward of Okene 1 State Constituency while Ododo is from Uporo/Odenku ward in Okene II State Constituency, dismissing claims of Bello’s preference for his kinsman.
