Minute of silence to be observed during CAF continental games

A minute of silence will be observed at all the venues of CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup games this weekend.

The African Football governing body announced that the gesture will be to honour the people who lost their lives as a result of the earthquake in Morocco and the floods in Libya.

The CAF President, Patrice Motsepe, expressed condolences with the people and wished them a speedy recovery.

Media Talk Africa recalled that over hundreds of people were killed and many left homeless in the incident.

Former Nigeria Premier Football League champions Rivers United will play Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso at the Stade Municipal Stadium, Yamoussoukro, on Sunday.

Another Nigerian representative, Bendel Insurance, will battle former Confederation Cup winner RS Berkene at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin,Benin on Saturday.
