How Lagos hotel owner shot us, despite paying bill – Guests

A guest at one hotel in the Ijesha area of Lagos State, Kelvin Nwabuno and his wife have narrated how they were shot at by the owner.

The guest, Nwabuno, said he lodged at the Queens Victory Guest House for four days and on the fifth day, he pleaded with the management for a little time so as to get the funds for that day to pay the bill. Nwabuno said that he had gone out to withdraw the money when his wife, who had come to see him with their baby, called that the hotel manager ordered them out and locked the door, a move he wasn’t happy about.

Nwabuno, revealed that he called the owner of the hotel and they exchanged words after which the owner said he should leave his hotel.

Nwabuno claimed that the owner came to the hotel with a gun, threatening to shoot him and his family.

A worker at the hotel, Charles Edet, who was also shot revealed that the couple were preparing to move out, when he saw the owner of the hotel, Mr Kingsley, with a gun.

Nwabuno’s wife, Mariam, said she was scared as it was her first time seeing a gun. She said he also threatened to shoot her and her baby if she takes another step.

The victims are seeking justice.
