2024 Hajj: FCTA Urges Prospective Pilgrims to Deposit N4.5m

The FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (FCT-MPWB) has advised individuals planning to embark on the Hajj pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia in 2024 to make a deposit of N4.5 million with the board. The exact fee is yet to be determined.

According to Mr Ahmad Saleh, the Assistant Chief Information Officer of the board, the sale of forms and registration for the pilgrimage will commence on September 25. In a statement released in Abuja on Friday, he also emphasized the importance of submitting a valid international passport and National Identification Number at the time of registration in any of the six Area Councils in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

In order to ensure a smooth registration process, Saleh stressed that the payment must be made to the FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abuja, through a bank draft. He further added that the board does not accept cash deposits and strictly adheres to the principle of first come, first served basis.

The importance of early registration cannot be overemphasized, as the board expects a high number of applicants for the Hajj pilgrimage. Therefore, prospective pilgrims are advised to make the necessary arrangements and submit their deposits promptly.

For further information or inquiries, individuals can contact the FCT Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board for guidance and assistance.
