Commissioner Raises Alarm as Official Vehicles Disappear from Ministry in Taraba

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Taraba State, Joseph Joshua, has expressed deep concern regarding the mysterious disappearance of several official vehicles from the ministry.

In a statement made over the weekend in Jalingo, the state capital, Commissioner Joshua vowed to take immediate action to uncover the truth behind the missing vehicles. He emphasized the importance of implementing mechanisms to prevent such incidents in the future.

Among the missing vehicles, Commissioner Joshua identified an ambulance, a 504 Peugeot, a Toyota Hilux, and a Coaster bus. He alleged that the 504 Peugeot had been taken by a former commissioner of the ministry, while a director of the ministry had absconded with the Toyota Hilux.

Expressing his frustration, the Commissioner said, “How can someone take government property worth millions of naira and sell it? I am determined to succeed, and I will not be intimidated by any saboteur.”

Furthermore, Commissioner Joshua expressed sadness about the actions of one of his directors, who purportedly traveled without receiving the ministry’s approval. He deemed this a violation of civil service rules and vowed to enforce strict discipline within the ministry.

“I want to make it clear that things will not be the same. I am ready to work with individuals who share the vision of our administration, and we will continue to move forward under the leadership of Governor Agbu Kefas,” he concluded.
