Marvelous Duru Shines in Judo
Eleven-year-old Marvelous Duru displayed exceptional skill and determination, securing a bronze medal for Kogi State in the fiercely contested 32kg girls category of the Judo event. Duru overcame formidable opponents from Bauchi, Plateau, and Ogun states. Although she suffered defeat in the second round against the representative from Bayelsa State, Duru’s tenacity and resilience earned her a well-deserved place on the podium.
Ize Sezuo Triumphs in Tennis
In the singles event of the tennis competition, Ize Sezuo demonstrated her prowess and emerged as another recipient of a bronze medal for Kogi State. Although Sezuo faced a challenging semifinals match against Aishat from Lagos State, her outstanding performance throughout the tournament was truly commendable.
