Eid-el-Maulud: PDP Urges Nigerians to Pray for the Nation’s Well-being

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called upon Nigerians, particularly Muslims, to seize the occasion of the 2023 Eid-el Maulud celebration as an avenue for offering intensive and fervent prayers to Allah, seeking His divine intervention in the affairs of Nigeria.

Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, emphasized the need for Nigerians to utilize this commemoration as a platform for strengthening the bond of unity, love, and respect for one another, especially during this crucial phase in the nation’s history.

According to Ologunagba, the celebration of the birth of Holy Prophet Mohammed (SAW), known as Eid-el Maulud, provides humanity with an anchor in God’s love and his willingness to guide mankind, through the virtues of obedience to His Will, righteousness, peace, and eternal redemption.”

He further urged individuals occupying vital public positions, whose decisions are instrumental to the establishment of justice, equity, and the rule of law in the nation, to use this occasion to immerse themselves in the fear of God.

He expressed, “They should embrace the fear of God, aligned with the teachings of the Holy Prophet, as this is the only path to ensuring peace and stability within the polity.

“These officials must bear in mind that positions of authority are ordained by Almighty Allah, and that they will ultimately be held accountable for their actions before Him,” he said.
