Eid-el-Moulud: Senator Urges Muslims to Pray for Nigeria and its Leaders

In commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Barrister Sharafadeen Alli, has called on Muslims nationwide to seize the opportunity of Eid-el-Moulud to fervently pray for Nigeria and its leaders.

Barrister Alli, who represents the Oyo South Senatorial District, made this exhortation on Wednesday, emphasizing the importance of seeking divine intervention for the nation’s progress.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Akeem Abas, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain stressed the need for prayerful supplication, so that leaders can be divinely guided in their decision-making processes towards achieving peace, unity, and overall development for the country.

During the celebration, the lawmaker also urged Muslims to reflect on the teachings of the Holy Prophet and emulate his exemplary qualities of compassion and selflessness in their interactions with one another.
