Metre Manufacturers Rally Behind Power Minister, Adebayo Adelabu, in Addressing Power Sector Challenges

The Association of Metre Manufacturers of Nigeria (AMMON) has shown unwavering support for the Minister for Power, Adebayo Adelabu. In a statement released on Wednesday, AMMON’s President, Engr Ademola Agoro, and Secretary, Engr Duro Omogbenigun, expressed their endorsement of the Minister’s efforts.

Adelabu has faced criticism from electricity sector workers for his lack of engagement with stakeholders since his appointment. However, he has now begun bilateral engagements with stakeholders to tackle the pressing issues in Nigeria’s power sector.

AMMON commended Adelabu for his knowledge of the sector and his dedication to finding solutions for the challenges faced by local manufacturers of metres. Unlike many politicians, Adelabu has demonstrated a deep understanding of the sector and has actively sought potential solutions.

Furthermore, Adelabu has initiated discussions with various stakeholders in the power sector to gain a comprehensive understanding of their challenges. The association is optimistic about Adelabu’s commitment to the task, noting that his professionalism and business acumen will help reposition the sector.
