Eze Ndigbo of Ibadanland, Dr. Alex Anozie, Passes Away at 74

The Eze Ndigbo of Ibadanland, Dr. Alex Anozie, has sadly passed away at the age of 74. He breathed his last on Tuesday at his residence in Ososami, Ibadan.

After his untimely demise, the remains of the esteemed Eze Ndigbo have been taken to his country home, Igboukwu in Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State, for a final resting place befitting an individual of his stature.

Dr. Alex Anozie, in addition to his position as the Eze Ndigbo of Ibadanland, also served as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of CONAC Optical Company, Ibadan. His leadership and expertise contributed significantly to the growth of the esteemed organization.

Mr. Samuel Ule, the Personal Assistant to the late Dr. Anozie, has confirmed the unfortunate news of his passing. Mr. Ule informed reporters that the Eze Ndigbo had been experiencing some health challenges and had personally visited the Fumbell Diagnostic Centre on Monday morning for further evaluation.

Tragically, the test results were scheduled to be revealed today, but shockingly, Dr. Anozie peacefully slipped into eternal slumber.

Mr. Ule also shared that the deceased had resided in Ibadan for the entirety of his life, where he made immense contributions to the economic development and prosperity of the ancient city.
