Nigeria at 63: Governor Buni Calls on Nigerians to Unite and Build a Prosperous Nation

In commemoration of Nigeria’s 63rd independence anniversary, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has urged all Nigerians to actively participate in nation building and work towards a united and prosperous country.

In a statement released by his spokesman, Mamman Mohammed, Governor Buni congratulated Nigerians for their resilience in maintaining a united nation despite the numerous challenges faced over the past 63 years.

Despite the challenges, Governor Buni emphasized that every Nigerian has a crucial role to play in the development and progress of the nation. He encouraged citizens not to be discouraged by the obstacles, stating, “everyone of us has a role to play in building a united, strong, and prosperous nation.”

Highlighting the commitment of Nigerians to a united and progressive Nigeria, Governor Buni acknowledged that every nation has its unique challenges. However, he stressed that the determination of Nigerians to uphold unity and progress has remained unwavering over the years.

Furthermore, Governor Buni underscored the significant advancements made in Nigeria’s democratic governance, which have contributed to overall development over the past 24 years. He stated, “We all have a duty and responsibility to make selfless contributions to strengthen institutions and promote active participation in governance.”
