The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Federal Capital Territory Commandant, Mr Olusola Odumosu says that officers and males of the Command are devoted to actively confronting and fight vandals within the FCT.

Odumosu stated this whereas flagging off a three-day capacity-building workshop for 280 personnel on arms bearing to foster service supply.

He stated that officers and males of the Command are able to take the combat in opposition to criminals to their doorstep as he charged personnel to be agency when coping with vandals and miscreants.

“While being civil in your approach, duty and operations, I also encourage you to be firm on criminals because FCT is not the place for them.

“At the end of the training, we are going to strategise in such a way that residents of the FCT will know about the existence of NSCDC FCT command.

“Because we are going to take the fight to the doorsteps of all criminals, scavengers, vandals and all who make life unbearable for residents,” he stated.

The FCT NSCDC helmsman stated that the educated personnel had been drawn from space instructions, divisional workplaces, departments and items of the Command.

He additional stated that after the coaching, educated officers and males can be deployed to strategic areas to hold out some strategic safety assignments.

“The training couldn’t have come at a better time than this given the various security challenges we are experiencing in the Territory.

“I find it necessary to organize this training and retraining programme such that it would refresh our skills and ability to deliver on the mandate given to us,” he stated.

The Commandant reiterated the Commandant General (CG) Ahmed Audi’s dedication to make sure higher service supply by coaching and re-training of personnel.

Odumosu warned in opposition to unintended discharge, including that bearing arms doesn’t give any personnel the suitable to humiliate or harass any member of the general public.

He recalled that the Command had carried out numerous safety patrols which had resulted within the arrest of no fewer than 85 scavengers, miscreants and criminals who hid underneath the pretence of being destitute to hold out nefarious actions.
