In a heartfelt expression of frustration, popular singer Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy of Psquare, has voiced his concern over the excruciating economic hardships in Nigeria. Particularly, Rudeboy highlighted the sky-rocketing prices of petroleum products as a major cause for concern.
Reflecting on his own personal experience, the ‘Reason With Me’ crooner shared how he purchased his first car for a modest sum of N120,000 many years ago. However, present circumstances have forced him to allocate a staggering N3 million every month solely towards purchasing diesel.
Labeling the current economic situation as “total madness,” Rudeboy acknowledged that he can only begin to fathom the burden that the less fortunate are enduring in these challenging times.
In a poignant Instagram story post, he wrote, “I bought my first car for 120k naira years back and I was very proud of that… Now I spend 3m naira on diesel for just a month… Total madness. Only God knows what a common man is going through.”
