President Bola Tinubu has given his nod to the appointments of new chief executive officers for various agencies and parastatals under the Ministry of Communications, Innovations, and Digital Economy.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, announced that Mr. Tinubu has appointed Aminu Maida as the Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

Furthermore, the President has reappointed Inuwa Kashifu as the Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), affirming his trust in Kashifu’s leadership and expertise.

Other notable appointments mentioned in the statement include: Nkechi Egerton-Idehen as the MD/CEO of the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT), Vincent Olatunji as the National Commissioner/CEO of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC), and Tola Odeyemi as the Postmaster General/CEO of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST).

Emphasizing President Tinubu’s commitment to harnessing Nigeria’s technological and digital prowess for the nation’s economic growth, the statement also disclosed the appointment of Idris Alubankudi as Special Adviser to the President, focused on leveraging technology and digital innovation.

The Special Adviser, Ajuri Ngelale, confirmed that all the appointments will take immediate effect.
