In a groundbreaking move, President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of a new board and management for the Federal Roads and Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
The news was disclosed by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, in a statement released on Friday.
Engr. Imam Ibrahim Kashim Imam has been appointed as the Chairman of the FERMA Board, while Engr. Chukwuemeka Agbasi will serve as the Managing Director.
According to Ngelale, these appointments are for a renewable term of four (4) years, in accordance with Section 2(3) of the FERMA Amendment Act, 2007.

The newly appointed board of FERMA includes:
- Yusuf Lawal Othman – Member (NARTO)
- Engr. Ibi Terna Manasseh – Member (FMW)
- ACM Shehu Mohammed – Member (FRSC)
- Babatunde Daramola-Oniru – Member (Finance)
- Hon. Preye Oseke – Member (South-South)
- Hon. Oye Ojobe – Member (South-West)
- Dr. Kenneth Ugbala – Member (South-East)
- Sen. Timothy Adudu – Member (North-Central)
- Engr. Abubakar Bappa – Member (North-East)
- Aminu Adamu Papa – Member (North-West)
Tinubu has urged the newly appointed board members to focus on delivering integrous and competent service, as FERMA plays a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing growth-enabling infrastructure nationwide.
