South Africa Stands in Solidarity with Palestine Amidst Israel-Palestine Conflict [VIDEO]

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has expressed his support for Palestine in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. In addition, he has extended his condolences to both the people of Israel and Palestine.

Ramaphosa joins a growing number of prominent politicians who have shown solidarity with the Palestinians in the wake of recent attacks by Hamas in Israel.

The conflict between Israel and Hamas has escalated into a full-scale military confrontation in the Gaza Strip over the past seven days, leading to significant loss of life.

According to reports from humanitarian organizations, the war has claimed the lives of over 2,300 individuals on both sides.

In a video posted on his official X account on Saturday, titled “We Pledge Solidarity with the People of Palestine,” Ramaphosa addressed the issue. He stated, “As you can see, this is the National Executive Committee. All of us standing here pledging our solidarity to the people of Palestine. We are deeply concerned about the atrocities unfolding in the Middle East.”

“We have offered our condolences to the people of Israel, just as we are extending our condolences to the people of Palestine,” Ramaphosa continued. “As the African National Congress, we have also pledged our solidarity with Palestine. We firmly believe that the only solution for the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict is a two-state solution.”
