Zamfara Police Command Rescues Two Abducted Students and Staff of Federal University Gusau

The Zamfara State Police Command has successfully rescued two students and a staff member of the Federal University Gusau who were abducted by armed men suspected to be bandits. The incident occurred on Saturday when the armed men stormed a rented house on the outskirts of Sabon Garin in Damba, taking the students and staff member at gunpoint.

In a statement signed by the State Police Command’s spokesman, Yazeed Abdullahi, it was revealed that upon receiving the information, the Command swiftly mobilized a search and rescue operation. The operation yielded positive results as all the victims were rescued unharmed. Efforts to apprehend the abductors are ongoing.

The statement emphasized the commitment of the Command, under the leadership of Mohammed Shehu Dalijan, to protect the lives and properties of all residents in the state. It also stressed the Command’s dedication to providing a safe and conducive environment for learning.

Furthermore, the spokesperson urged the people of Zamfara State to cooperate with the Command by providing credible and timely information on criminal activities. This collaboration is crucial in the fight against all forms of criminality and in safeguarding the state.
