Tinubu Reinstates Sunday Adepoju as Postmaster General and CEO of NIPOST

President Bola Tinubu has made the decision to reinstate Sunday Adepoju as the Postmaster General and CEO of the Nigerian Postal Service, NIPOST. This comes after the recent replacement of Adepoju by Tola Odeyemi, who was appointed as the new CEO of NIPOST.

However, NIPOST took to its official handle on Saturday to announce the reinstatement of Adepoju. In a statement, Adepoju expressed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and his supporters and pledged to redouble his efforts in elevating NIPOST to a world-class digital postal service. Adepoju also stated his commitment to aligning his vision with that of the Federal Ministry of Communication, Innovation & Digital Economy, with the aim of contributing significantly to Nigeria’s socio-economic development.

It is worth noting that Sunday Adepoju was initially appointed by former President Muhammadu Buhari in October 2022.

The reinstatement of Adepoju is a testament to his exceptional leadership skills and unwavering commitment to service. As a result, Nigerians can expect enhanced value and quality services from NIPOST. Adepoju’s achievements over the past year include the development of a modern digital postcode system, the integration of the Address Verification System (AVS), the procurement of 20 operational vehicles and 100 motorbikes to improve last-mile delivery, and the remodeling of several post offices to accommodate e-government and financial services.

With Adepoju back at the helm of NIPOST, the future looks promising for the Nigerian Postal Service.
