The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) has threatened to start an indefinite strike in public main and secondary colleges in Bayelsa over the N30,000 minimum wage and promotion arrears.

The teachers had given a 14-day ultimatum to the federal government and native councils to handle the plight of teachers throughout the state or face industrial motion.
