NNL Clubs Face Expulsion Over Non-Compliance with Registration

The Nigeria National League (NNL) has issued a final warning to clubs that have yet to complete their mandatory registration formalities. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in expulsion from the league. Dr Ayo Abdulrahman, the Chief Operating Officer of the NNL, emphasized the importance of professionalism and stated that participating clubs must show their commitment to this ahead of the new season.

Registration for the upcoming season began a month ago following the NNL Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Jos. However, despite an ultimatum issued last week, some clubs have not completed their registration. The NNL, under the leadership of George Aluo, is determined to bring about positive change.

Dr Abdulrahman further highlighted the consequences of non-compliance, stating, “Any club that fails to complete its registration formalities by early this week may be thrown out of the league. We will not allow any club to hold us back. Our secretariat is working tirelessly to ensure that all necessary procedures are carried out professionally.”

The new season is scheduled to commence on Saturday, October 28. It is imperative that NNL clubs adhere to the registration process without delay in order to secure their participation.
