Troops belonging to Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), the Special Military Task Force responsible for maintaining peace in Plateau, Bauchi, and Kaduna States, have successfully neutralized four suspected bandits, marking a significant victory in the fight against criminal elements.

In a statement released on Monday in Jos, Captain James Oya, the Media Officer of the operation, revealed that the troops had also apprehended 120 individuals involved in various criminal activities between October 16 and October 22. The arrest of these suspects exemplifies the unwavering determination of the authorities to maintain law and order.

According to Captain Oya, the arrested individuals are allegedly involved in crimes such as kidnapping, armed robbery, cattle rustling, drug peddling, and illegal possession of weapons. In addition to these achievements, the operation also led to the rescue of four individuals who had been kidnapped.

“During this period, we successfully neutralized four suspected bandits, apprehended 73 suspects with arms and ammunition, and detained an additional 37 individuals involved in kidnapping,” stated Captain Oya. “Furthermore, we successfully rescued four kidnapped victims, arrested two suspected cattle rustlers, and apprehended four individuals linked to drug peddling.
