BREAKING: I’m sorry for embarrassing you – Aiyedatiwa begs Akeredolu

In a bid to finish the political disaster that has plagued Ondo State in current months, the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, on Thursday apologised to his boss, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

While expressing remorse over the flip of occasions within the state, Aiyedatiwa disclosed that the experiences popping out of the state previously weeks have been discomforting.

Aiyedatiwa, who spoke throughout an interactive session with journalists within the state, emphasised his loyalty to Akeredolu and his unwavering dedication to the event and progress of the state.

Also, Aiyedatiwa applauded Akeredolu for his intervention and efforts in persuading the members of the Ondo State House of Assembly to embrace a political resolution proposed by ruling the All Progressives Congress, APC.

He refuted all of the allegations circulating in opposition to him, which he claimed have been propagated by people determined to take away him from workplace forward of governorship election in 2024.

Aiyedatiwa additionally acknowledged that he has no affiliation with any teams or people organising protests or demanding the governor’s resignation, emphasizing that he has by no means authorised anybody to provoke such campaigns.

“Our beloved state has witnessed a series of events triggered by the health challenges faced by Mr Governor, which gave rise to misunderstandings, misconceptions, assumptions, and insinuations, and exploited by political contenders preparing for the upcoming 2024 gubernatorial election.

“It is in reference to the above that I hereby tender my unreserved apologies to Mr Governor and the good people of Ondo State, and I assure that, together, we will both complete this journey with honour, divine guidance and in good health by the grace of God.”
