Presidential Rival Arrested In Madagascar

An opposition presidential candidate has been arrested in Madagascar at a protest within the capital Antananarivo.

Journalists noticed Jean Jacques Ratsietison being taken away by the police.

The opposition has alleged that this month’s election is being rigged in favour of the incumbent, Andry Rajoelina.

The electoral fee has not commented on the allegation.

Several current makes an attempt to stage demonstrations have been damaged up by the police.

Political rigidity is excessive in Madagascar. Last month two candidates, together with former President Marc Ravalomanana, had been injured throughout opposition protests.
