The talented singer, John Ighodaro, popularly known as Johnny Drille, has disclosed that his wife, Rima Tahini, holds the special place of being his first love.
Johnny Drille, a remarkable artist under Mavin Records, had his marriage to Rima Tahini, an A&R executive with the same record label, revealed by the CEO, Don Jazzy, in July. Surprisingly, it was later uncovered that the announcement came a year after the couple’s discreet wedding.
During a recent podcast interview with actress Iyabo Ojo, the singer expressed that his wife holds the distinguished title of being his first girlfriend.
He reminisced, “The first time I saw her was at one of my shows in 2018. She was seated in the front row alongside a Caucasian woman. Initially, I assumed they were both of Caucasian descent. She [Rima] is of mixed race.”
“Subsequently, when I was preparing for another show in Abuja, we struck up a conversation. Our paths crossed in October, and by January, I was certain that she was the one for me. I made known to her my intention to marry her. For me, it was an unwavering conviction. Many might find it unbelievable, but she was my first girlfriend. I had never been in a relationship before her. I married the first woman to whom I professed my love.”
