The Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) has extended its felicitations to the re-elected Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, following his victory in the November 11 gubernatorial election. The All Progressives Congress (APC), represented by Uzodinma, emerged triumphant in the poll, as confirmed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Professor Abayomi Fashina, the State Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye Ekiti, formally declared Uzodinma as the winner, surpassing candidates from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and Action Alliance (AA).
James Ezema, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the CNPP, articulated, “We, therefore, extend our congratulations to Governor Hope Uzodinma, the declared victor of the 2023 Imo State gubernatorial election.
“In the political sphere, triumph hinges upon numbers, hence only one contender emerges as the winner of such contests.
“We implore the public to uphold peace, and we advocate for any aggrieved party or individual to pursue legal recourse for resolutions,” the CNPP iterated.
