FFK Ridicules ‘Poor Dino’ Over Kogi Governorship Election Performance

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has taken a dig at Senator Dino Melaye, the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), following his performance in the recently concluded Kogi governorship election. In a scathing post on his social media platform, the former Aviation Minister asserted that it’s the end of the road for Melaye.

“Poor Dino, despite all his loud and boastful rantings, puerile noise-making, clownish behaviour, crude antics, infantile court-jesting, nauseating gorilla-dancing, gratuitous insults, foul-mouthed bluster, tough guy ‘gra gra’ and area boy theatrics, he suffered a resounding defeat in the Kogi state governorship election. Out of the 751,000 votes cast, he could not even muster up to 47,000, amounting to approximately 5% of the total votes. To make matters worse, he finished a distant third, with some reports even suggesting fourth place. This is a sharp contrast to his previous tenure as a House of Reps member and a Senator. Melaye, who once ridiculed others, is now staring at the end of his political journey. It seems that the White Lion of Kogi has fulfilled his promise by permanently retiring Dino from politics. My heart goes out to him,” Fani-Kayode lamented.

Media Talk Africa reported that Usman Ododo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged as the winner of the November 11 poll, securing 446,237 votes. He defeated his closest rival, Murtala Ajaka of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), who polled 259,052 votes, while Melaye garnered 46,362 votes.
