Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has vehemently refuted recent allegations suggesting that judges were bribed with $5 million to overturn his election victory, labeling the claims as “baseless and defamatory.”

In an official statement released in the State capital, Jos, the Governor’s Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, condemned the publication and attributed it to the malicious intent of his detractors to sow discord between him and the esteemed judges and other authorities.

Expressing deep concern, Mutfwang insisted on thorough investigations by security agencies to identify and apprehend those responsible for the libelous publication, emphasizing the need for them to face the full consequences of the law as a deterrent against future misconduct.

He dismissed the report as mere fabrications orchestrated by individuals manipulated as pawns by the opposition party in Plateau State, emphasizing that the move is an attempt to tarnish the image of the PDP government in the state. However, he remained resolute in his commitment and confidence in the Judiciary.

Underscoring his unwavering support for the judiciary, Mutfwang warned those disparaging the justices and respected leaders to immediately cease their destructive activities or face severe consequences for their actions.
