Meek Mill Boasts Making $1 Million from Each Song Recorded

American rapper Meek Mill has disregarded claims about the decline of rap music, stating that he continues to reap significant financial rewards from his work.

According to Meek Mill, he earns a minimum of $1 million for each song he records, emphasizing, “I’m getting a million a song… so that’s $62,500 every bar I speak… They say this rap sh*t dying must be on Billboard because it’s not to Meek!,” in a statement posted on his Instagram page.

Meek Mill’s assertive declaration comes in the wake of Nigerian singer Wizkid’s contentious statement in an interview, where he proclaimed that “hip-hop is dead,” igniting a heated debate within the music industry.

Wizkid’s assertion spurred reactions from both homegrown and global hip-hop luminaries. South African rapper Nasty C, M.I, Zoro Swagbag, Oladips, and several others publicly criticized Wizkid for his polarizing remarks.
