Umar Sadiq Expresses Gratitude to Real Sociedad After Ending Goal Drought

Nigerian footballer Umar Sadiq has conveyed his appreciation to everyone at Real Sociedad following his goal in the team’s victory against Sevilla on Sunday night.

Sadiq’s remarkable goal at the Reale Arena contributed to Real Sociedad’s 2-1 triumph.

This marked the Nigeria international’s first goal for the club since September 2022.

Speaking to Marca, the 26-year-old expressed, “I thank all the individuals at Real – the physios, doctors, coaches, teammates, and everyone I’ve worked with tirelessly day after day. This goal is for them. It’s incredibly important to me; I needed it after a year.”

After enduring a cruciate ligament injury early last season, Sadiq made a comeback this summer.
