Rapper and singer Eedris Abdulkareem recently expressed his deep appreciation for his wife, Yetunde, who donated a kidney to him. In an interview with Saturday Beats, he shared that he had always known she would do anything for him, just as he would for her. He emphasized, “It has always been that way with us.” Eedris noted that the release of his new song titled “Thank You” is a way to honor her, although it is not the first song he has dedicated to her.
He remarked, “There are many ways I have been showing my jewel of inestimable value my unalloyed appreciation for what she has done for me, and I will never get tired of doing that.” He described Yetunde as the most awesome person alive, referring to their bond as unbreakable and likening her to his Siamese twin. Eedris highlighted that creating a special song for her is just one of the many ways he expresses his gratitude, and he affectionately referred to her as his “royal loveliness.”
In addition to his personal reflections, Eedris offered advice to young people regarding marriage. He urged them to marry for love rather than for financial gain or social status. Reflecting on his early career, he mentioned that he had opportunities to marry for wealth and connections but chose instead to work diligently and pray for his true soulmate. The moment he met Yetunde, he felt he had found his missing rib.
Since returning from the hospital, Eedris has recorded several songs but chose to release “Thank You” first as a tribute to his wife. He also expressed his eternal gratitude to everyone who supported him during his illness.
