Former Osun State Finance Commissioner Remi Wilson Passes Away at Home

Remi Wilson, a former Commissioner for Finance in Osun State, has passed away. Wilson’s unexpected demise occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, December 26, at her residence in Ilobu, Irepodun Local Government Area of Osun State.

According to a source, Wilson had celebrated Christmas Day with guests at her home until late in the evening. She was reportedly active until 9:00 pm the previous day and showed no signs of illness during the gathering. Shockingly, she was found to have passed away around 4:00 am the following morning.

Wilson had a distinguished career, initially serving as Commissioner for Finance before later assuming the role of Commissioner for Women Affairs under the leadership of former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola. Prior to her passing, she had transitioned from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
