Brentford’s manager, Thomas Frank, has unequivocally stated that Ivan Toney will only leave the club in January if presented with an “unbelievable” offer, putting a major condition on any potential transfer to Arsenal.
Amid intense speculation linking the 27-year-old striker with a move to Arsenal, Frank asserted that Toney, currently serving a betting-related suspension, will continue with Brentford even as he nears his return on January 20.
Frank emphasized Brentford’s need for attacking options and dismissed the idea of selling Toney, stressing, “He is a Brentford player, he is here, we miss a few offensive players, and I cannot see why we should sell him. It is not for me to discuss (an offer), but if I could ever recommend one, it would need to be an unbelievable price, so he will stay here.”
The high-stakes stance taken by Brentford’s manager adds an intriguing layer to the ongoing transfer saga, as Arsenal faces the challenge of meeting the club’s uncompromising conditions if they are to secure Toney’s services.
