Nigerian singer and songwriter, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, professionally known as Spyro, recently unveiled his vision of an ideal life partner. In an exclusive interview with Hip TV, the “Who Is Your Guy” artist candidly expressed his desire to marry a woman who not only captivates him visually but also radiates a deep love for Jesus, playfully coining the term “Jesus’ baddie” for such women.
Spyro articulated, “My spec is a Jesus’ baddie. That’s my spec: Know God but be a baddie. Don’t be a mediocre because you know God. Dress well and speak well. Do those things that bad girls do but do it for your husband alone.”
In addition to unveiling his personal preferences, Spyro addressed the ongoing scrutiny from social media regarding his musical choices. He confronted the contentious debate between secular and gospel music, emphasizing that his secular songs do not compromise his unwavering faith. He confidently asserted that his music upholds his Christian values and does not undermine his spiritual beliefs.
Amidst the online criticism, Spyro firmly articulated, “In anything you do in life, you will always get criticized. And we just have to take a stance. It’s either you are hot or you are cold. It’s either you are for God or you are not for God. I’ve always known even before now that I’m going to get criticized for what I stand for. But it doesn’t mean it’s going to change. I’m a Christian and I make music. You can be a banker and still represent God in your field. I’m saying that I love God and I’m using my platform to talk about him. It doesn’t mean I shouldn’t go about my business.”
The singer’s unwavering commitment to his faith alongside his passion for music exemplifies the harmony he seeks to create in both his personal and professional life. Spyro’s unapologetic pursuit of a partner who embodies both spiritual depth and admirable charisma signals a resonant quest for a harmonious union, echoing his fervent drive for a seamless blend of artistry and faith.
