The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a call to its supporters, urging them to uphold the rule of law as the Supreme Court prepares to deliver its judgement on the state’s governorship election. The State chairman of the party, Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani, emphasized the importance of maintaining order and abiding by the law in a statement released through the state publicity secretary, Comrade Yusuf Idris Gusau.
In the statement, Danfulani highlighted the outcome of a meeting with security agencies, during which it was emphasized that individuals found in possession of arms or weapons, either before or after the judgement, would face legal consequences. He expressed appreciation for the exemplary conduct of the party’s supporters, even in the face of provocation, and urged them to “remain steadfast in their good manners in maintaining law and order, which is the party’s watchword.”
The chairman specifically called upon the party’s supporters, particularly the youth wing, to adhere to the law and to approach the situation with a spirit of prayerfulness.
This call to uphold the rule of law demonstrates the party’s commitment to peaceful and lawful conduct, regardless of the outcome of the Supreme Court judgement.
